Christ's Prediction About the End Time |
| DBY Mark 13:3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled? 5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any one mislead you. 6 For many shall come in my name, saying, It is I, and shall mislead many. 7 But when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be not disturbed, for {this} must happen, but the end is not yet. | DBY Matthew 24:3 And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign of thy coming and {the} completion of the age? 4 And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall mislead many. 6 But ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not disturbed; for all {these things} must take place, but it is not yet the end. | DBY Luke 21:7 And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what {is} the sign when these things are going to take place? 8 And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am {he}, and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not {therefore} after them. 9 And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end is not immediately. |
| DBY Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise up
against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in
{different} places, and there shall be famines
and troubles: these things {are the}
beginnings of throes.
|
DBY Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise up
against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom; and there shall be famines and
pestilences, and earthquakes in divers
places. 8 But all these {are the} beginning of
throes.
|
DBY Luke 21:10 Then he said to them,
Nation shall rise up against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom; 11 there shall be
both great earthquakes in different places,
and famines and pestilences; and there shall
be fearful sights and great signs from
heaven.

C. Church Persecution | ||
| DBY Mark 13:9 But ye, take heed to
yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to
sanhedrims and to synagogues: ye shall be
beaten and brought before rulers and kings
for my sake, for a testimony to them; 10 and
the gospel must first be preached to all the
nations. 11 But when they shall lead you
away to deliver you up, be not careful
beforehand as to what ye shall say, {nor
prepare your discourse}: but whatsoever shall
be given you in that hour, that speak; for ye
are not the speakers, but the Holy Spirit. 12
But brother shall deliver up brother to death,
and father child; and children shall rise up
against parents, and cause them to be put to
death. 13 And ye will be hated of all on
account of my name; but he that has endured
to the end, he shall be saved.
|
DBY Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver
you up to tribulation, and shall kill you; and ye
will be hated of all the nations for my name's
sake. 10 And then will many be offended, and
will deliver one another up, and hate one
another; 11 and many false prophets shall
arise and shall mislead many; 12 and
because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of
the most shall grow cold; 13 but he that has
endured to the end, he shall be saved. 14
And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall
be preached in the whole habitable earth, for
a witness to all the nations, and then shall
come the end.
|
DBY Luke 21:12 But before all these things
they shall lay their hands upon you and
persecute you, delivering {you} up to
synagogues and prisons, bringing {you}
before kings and governors on account of my
name; 13 but it shall turn out to you for a
testimony. 14 Settle therefore in your hearts
not to meditate beforehand {your} defence,
15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom
which all your opposers shall not be able to
reply to or resist. 16 But ye will be delivered
up even by parents and brethren and
relations and friends, and they shall put to
death {some} from among you, 17 and ye will
be hated of all for my name's sake. 18 And a
hair of your head shall in no wise perish. 19
By your patient endurance gain your souls.

E. Abomination of Desolation
| DBY Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not, (he that reads let him consider {it},) | DBY Matthew 24:15 When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolation, which is spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in holy place, (he that reads let him understand,) | DBY 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let not any one deceive you in any manner, because {it will not be} unless the apostasy have first come, and the man of sin have been revealed, the son of perdition; 4 who opposes and exalts himself on high against all called God, or object of veneration; so that he himself sits down in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. |
| DBY Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the continual {sacrifice} is taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up,(1) {there
shall be} a thousand, two hundred, and ninety days.
DBY Daniel 11:31 And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and shall take away the continual {sacrifice}, and they shall place (2) the abomination that makes desolate.

F. About Beast and the Abomination of Desolation
|
[As we see in the Prophecy
Papers 2 (PP2), there is a
system of the Beast and there is a Beast-man, who is the anti-Christ. You
may need to study PP2 first to understand the following.]
This system of the Beast is actually the system of the abomination of desolation, because it is through this system's power (given to the Beast-man) that the world will be destroyed. (Dan 7:11, 24-25; Rev 19:20; see PP5) This abomination is given to the world on the 1290th day before Christ returns. (Dan 12:11; PP2) The abomination of desolation is also the abominable person, who is the little horn that will speak for the system of the Beast. He is the horn/king/leader with eyes and mouth speaking great things and blasphemy against the most high and his saints. (Dan 8:9-10; 7:8, 11a, 20-21-, 24-25; Rev 13:5-7; pp171ff) He is the man with the number six-hundred and sixty six (666) that can be calculated for his name ("number of his name"). Beast-man shares power with the ten nations: He is the Beast-man who is connected and has power with the ten horns/kings (toes) or nations (PP2; Rev 17:12; 13:1; Dan 2:41-43; 7:7-8, 20, 24) He has power with them only for a short period of time. (Rev 17:10, 12) 30 Days is the short time: The short time or the "one hour" that the ten nations have power with the Beast-man is for 30 days or 1290 days minus 1260 days. (Rev 17:10, 12) After this short time the Beast-man is given the full power of the system to speak for the whole group of nations. (Rev 17:13, 17; 13:12, 15, 5; Dan 7:8, 20, 24-25) Since the power of the Beast-system is given to the Beast-man (the little horn) for 1260 days or 42 months (Rev 13:5; Dan 7:8, 25), he thus speaks for the system; he is the eyes and mouth of the Beast-system for 1260 days. (Rev 13:5; Dan 7:25) Beast-man given this power of the nations after three of the ten are "subdued": But the Beast-man is only given this power after three of the ten nations are "plucked up" or after three "fell" or after "he shall subdue three kings." (Dan 7:8, 20, 24) Three "subdued" by a deadly wound of war: The removal of these three nations is the "deadly wound" to the seventh head. (Rev 13:3; 17:9-10) This deadly wound is a wound of war ("sword," Rev 13:14), with nuclear weapons and missiles (Rev 13:13). Beast-man "subdues" the three: The one who will subdue three kings (Dan 7:24),
During this Beast-man's 1260 day sole rule he will magnify himself in his mind until he, at the end, will actually think he is God, and will say he is God. (Dan 8:25; 7:8, 11 25; 11:37; 2 Thes 2:4) At that time, at the end of the 1260 days, he will be destroyed, and the Kingdom of God will take over the kingdoms of men. (Dan 2:44; 7:11, 25-27; 8:25; PP5, PP6) It is about that time (at the end of the 1260 days, when the Beast-man says he himself is God) that Jesus spoke about when he said in Matthew 24:15:

G. Great Tribulation (Continued)
| DBY Mark 13:14b then let those in Judaea
flee to the mountains; 15 and him that is
upon the housetop not come down into the
house, nor enter {into it} to take away
anything out of his house; 16 and him that is
in the field not return back to take his
garment. 17 But woe to those that are with
child and to those that give suck in those
days! 18 And pray that it may not be in winter
time; 19 for those days shall be distress
such as there has not been the like since
{the} beginning of creation which God
created, until now, and never shall be; 20 and
if {the} Lord had not cut short those days, no
flesh should have been saved; but on
account of the elect whom he has chosen, he
has cut short those days. 21 And then if any
one say to you, Lo, here {is} the Christ, or Lo,
there, believe {it} not. 22 For false Christs
and false prophets will arise, and give signs
and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the
elect.
|
DBY Matthew 24:16 then let those who are
in Judaea flee to the mountains; 17 let not
him that is on the house come down to take
the things out of his house; 18 and let not him
that is in the field turn back to take his
garment. 19 But woe to those that are with
child, and those that give suck in those days.
20 But pray that your flight may not be in
winter time nor on sabbath: 21 for then shall
there be great tribulation, such as has not
been from {the} beginning of {the} world until
now, nor ever shall be; 22 and if those days
had not been cut short, no flesh had been
saved; but on account of the elect those days
shall be cut short. 23 Then if any one say to
you, Behold, here is the Christ, or here,
believe {it} not. 24 For there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and shall give
great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if
possible, even the elect. 25 Behold, I have
told you beforehand. 26 If therefore they say
to you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not
forth; behold, {he is} in the inner chambers,
do not believe {it}.
|
DBY Luke 21:21 Then let those who are in
Judaea flee to the mountains, and those who
are in the midst of it depart out, and those
who are in the country not enter into it; 22 for
these are days of avenging, that all the things
that are written may be accomplished. 23 But
woe to them that are with child and to them
who give suck in those days, for there shall
be great distress upon the land and wrath
upon this people. 24 And they shall fall by the
edge of the sword, and be led captive into all
the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden
down of {the} nations until {the} times of {the}
nations be fulfilled.
|
H. Immediately After the Great Tribulation, then Christ comes
| DBY Mark 13:24 But in those days, after that distress, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give its light; 25 and the stars of heaven shall be falling down, and the powers which are in the heavens shall be shaken; 26 and then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory; 27 and then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from end of earth to end of heaven. | DBY Matthew 24:29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the land lament, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from {the one} extremity of {the} heavens to {the other} extremity of them. | DBY Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity {at} the roar of the sea and rolling waves, 26 men ready to die through fear and expectation of what is coming on the habitable earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh. |
| DBY Mark 13:28 But learn the parable from the fig-tree: when its branch already becomes tender and puts forth the leaves, ye know that the summer is near. 29 Thus also ye, when ye see these things happening, know that it is near, at the doors. | DBY Matthew 24:32 But learn the parable from the fig-tree: When already its branch becomes tender and produces leaves, ye know that the summer is near. 33 Thus also ye, when ye see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors. | |
| DBY Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning
goes forth from the east and shines to the
west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. 28 {For} wherever the carcase is, there
will be gathered the eagles.
Note: As quickly as lightning strikes, will be how quickly Christ will come. He doesn't come in stages, but all at once, as quick as lightning.
Note: See the study about the fire that comes at the same time Christ returns.>> |
DBY Luke 17:24 For as the lightning shines which lightens from {one end} under heaven to {the other end} under heaven, thus shall the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected of this generation. 26 And as it took place in the days of Noah, thus also shall it be in the days of the Son of man: 27 they ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed all {of them}; 28 and in like manner as took place in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulphur from heaven, and destroyed all {of them}: 30 after this {manner} shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.
|
>>> Note: Christ comes so quickly that no one has time to even get down from the roof, or to come back in from the field.
|
DBY Luke 17:31 In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not go down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 32 Remember the wife of Lot. 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it. 34 I say to you, In that night there shall be two {men} upon one bed; one shall be seized and the other shall be let go. 35 Two {women} shall be grinding together; the one shall be seized and the other shall be let go. 36 {Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.}
| DBY Matthew 24:28 {For} wherever the carcase is, there will be gathered the eagles. | DBY Luke 17:37 And answering they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body {is}, there the eagles will be gathered together. | |
I. As in the Day of Noah | ||
| The End will come at once, as the flood in Noah's day and the destruction of Sodom:
As an overrunning flood (Nah 1:8); speedy riddance (Zeph 1:18); a moment (Ps 73:18); one day (Isa 10:17); in an instant, suddenly (Isa 29:5); destroy and devour at once (Isa 42:14); avenge them speedily (Lk 18:8; Eccl 9:12); one day (rev 18:8); as a whirlwind (Ps 58:9-10); one hour (Rev 18:10, 19); as a flood (Dan 9:26); one day (Isa 47:9); suddenly (1 Thes 5:3); swiftly, speedily (Joel 3:4; Mal 3:5) The transgressors destroyed together: (ps 37:38; Isa 1:28; Jer 51:48-49) Evil shall not raise again; perpetual peace after the instant destruction: they shall not learn war anymore (Isa 2:4; Mic 4:3); violence no more (Isa 60:18); affliction not to rise a second time (Nah 1:9); shall not see evil anymore (Zeph 3:15); hail will sweep away the lies (Isa 28:17); they shall not hurt nor destroy in all God's holy mountain or kingdom (Isa 11:9); in all God's holy mountain or kingdom, no oppressor shall pass through them anymore (Zech 9:8); God's kingdom and peace will not depart or be removed (Isa 54:10) At Christ's coming all the kingdoms will be his (Rev 11:15), and there will be no more war as the above scriptures prove.
